Derek Young has been playing piano for more than a decade. He received his Bachelor's in Music Technology from Mansfield University and his Master's in Music Composition from Binghamton University. He has accompanied choirs in high school, university, and community settings including both Mansfield and Binghamton Universities and Hamilton Gibson Productions in Wellsboro, PA. Alongside being a part of various musical projects, he has worked as an adjunct professor at Binghamton University in teaching music-related classes and as the Minister of Music at the Holy Trinity Church in Troy, PA where he directed the choir, praise band, and special music pieces. Recently, he has collaborated in creating a pocket opera called "Train 61," and he continues to create new music outside of his work. In his free time, he plays competitive volleyball.
